Strictly Clean and Decent with Special Guest Jack Lawrence

Strictly Clean and Decent with Special Guest Jack Lawrence

Strictly Clean and Decent is an acoustic trio which features Patrick Crouch, Ron Shuffler, and Kay Crouch whose blend of brilliant vocal harmonies tops a solid instrumental foundation.  They are dedicated to performing a variety of musical styles in an acoustic setting.  Their eclectic repertoire includes modern folk songs by American, Canadian, and Irish songwriters, the fiery breakdowns and songs of family and home found in both traditional and contemporary bluegrass settings, and centuries-old Celtic airs and dance tunes.  All of this is peppered with a healthy dose of popular jazz standards, swing and western swing music, and a few classic country tunes thrown in to provide a program certain to be enjoyed by all.

This year we are thrilled to announce that Strictly Clean and Decent will be joined by flat-pick guitar virtuoso Jack Lawrence!    A member of early lineups of both the New Deal String Band and Bluegrass Alliance, Jack began playing in 1983 with Doc Watson, a musical partnership that lasted over 25 years.  He has performed and recorded with such luminaries as Sam Bush, Jerry Douglas, The Dell McCoury Band, and Peter Rowan and was featured on Rowan’s Grammy-nominated album, “Carter Stanley’s Eyes.”  Jack has the distinction of having performed at Every MerleFest.  He currently performs with the Charlotte-based Red Rocking Chair.
